The following are the core responsibilities of the PCN Business Manager. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels. 1. Operational Work closely with PCN Clinical Director, PCN Operations Manager, GP Leads and Practice Managers to identify suitable projects, undertake gap analysis, scope and develop project plans Contract management lead for externally provided services Managerial service lead for Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Physiotherapy and Frailty Physician Associates Ensure compliance with DES and IIF 2. Financial Work with PCN Clinical Director to develop budgets aligned to income streams Responsible for timely and accurate financial transactions Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis Lead on Additional Roles Reimbursement (ARRS), maximising funding and allocation across the PCN 3. Communication To influence, lead and support the development of excellent relationships across a range of stakeholders within the PCN to enable collaboration for better patient outcomes To work closely with other PCN Clinical Directors, clinical leaders of other health and social care providers, including CCG, ICS leaders, Local Authority Commissioners and Local Medical Committees (LMCs) 4. Enhanced Access (EA) Oversee and support PCN Operations Manager in delivery of cost effective Enhanced Access (in line with national requirements) Provision of performance monitoring information to PCN and ICB Be responsible for data protection compliance 5. Governance Ensure shareholder agreements, network agreement, schedules, data sharing agreements and other governance documents are up to date and accurate Ensure that all policy documents are up to date Lead role in preparing for CQC inspections and ensuring compliance Maintain conflicts of interest register General Requirements Personal Requirements Must be able to work to a flexible schedule and extended hours to accommodate the needs of the PCN Must be in possession of a qualified UK drivers license and acceptable driving record at time of appointment and throughout employment in this position. Regular access to own vehicle is required. Confidentiality All staff are required to respect the confidentiality of all PCN business and the business of the PCNs staff, residents, patients and general public which they may learn in the execution of their duties.
