Alexander Daniels are proud to be working with an established manufacturer outside of Cannock, to recruit for a Finance Assistant on a permanent and full-time basis. This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced candidate who is looking for a role in which they can take ownership for a process and make it their own.
Daily tasks will include:
* Maintaining the Sales and Purchase Ledger.
* Preparing weekly payment runs.
* Bank reconciliation.
* Credit Control - chasing debtors.
* Preparing and posting journals.
* Manage holiday requests.
* Additional ad hoc tasks.
The ideal candidate will have:
* At least 2 years experience in similar role.
* Strong communication skills and good telephone manner.
* Ability to prioritise and plan workload.
* Good Excel and Analytical skills.
* A can-do positive approach to work with a willingness to learn.
The ideal candidate will be AAT Qualified (or studying towards) or will have experience in a similar role deally within the manufacturing industry, although this is not essential. You must be an excellent communicator with intermediate to advanced Excel skills, and be a team player. You will have the support of a small and friendly finance team and benefit from a 12 o'clock finish on Friday, 25 days holiday (plus bank holiday), Christmas shutdown, and other benefits such as critical illness plans and death in service....
