Shaw healthcare is looking for a Nurse to join the team in Sycamore Lodge, Nailsea.

About the service:
Sycamore Lodge, situated in Nailsea, Bristol, cares for up to 78 older people, including those living with dementia.
The focal point of the care centre is the spectacular atrium which cascades natural daylight into the heart of the building enabling residents and their families to have that sense of outdoors all year round.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assessing patients' health and care needs and developing care plans
2. Administering medication and monitoring service users' responses
3. Providing nursing care, including wound care and palliative care
4. Liaising with other healthcare professionals to coordinate personalised care
5. Supporting service users with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
6. Providing emotional support to service users and their families
7. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
8. Working within the Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines to ensure high standards of care
9. Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
10. Participating in the induction and ongoing training of new staff members
Qualifications and Experience:
1. NMC registered nurse
2. Experience working in elderly care, including caring for patients with Alzheimer's and other dementia-related conditions
3. Knowledge of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
6. Ability to work independently and use own initiative
7. Commitment to continuing professional development
