We are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and conscientious young university leaver as our Sports Graduate Assistant for the start of the Autumn term 2025, for three terms to work within our Sports Faculty, and more specifically within our Girls’ sports team. This post would be ideal for anyone considering a career in teaching or coaching as it will provide the opportunity to work within an experienced and highly qualified department. Opportunities for CPD and the chance to gain qualifications relevant to the role will be possible for the successful candidate.
The successful applicant will support the PE and Games Department in delivering high quality lessons, coaching sessions and match experiences, supporting the effective use of resources and the highest standards of enjoyment and achievement for all pupils. To this end, they will possess high personal and professional standards, good organisational and administrative skills, effective communication skills, and demonstrable enthusiasm and interest in sports/games and co-curricular activities, while at the same time being able to inspire pupils and work collaboratively with a team of staff. A proven ability in either hockey, netball, cricket, athletics or swimming would be an advantage, and experience in coaching or officiating younger pupils would be of interest, though is not essential.

Qualifications
A degree or equivalent qualification (possibly pending) in a Sports, Physical Education or other related field.
Skills
* A strong knowledge of various sports and physical education practices.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* The ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and external partners.
* Proficient in using sports equipment and technology.
* The ability to plan and deliver engaging sports sessions and activities.
* A good level of physical fitness to actively participate in sports activities and handle physical demands.
* An awareness of activities taking place within the Department and across the School.
