About the role

We are looking for someone with drive and great communication skills to enhance our team and lead staff development at the same time as keeping health & safety at the forefront of their objectives.
36 hour week, rotating AM/PM shifts, including Saturday. (Sunday rest days)
Overtime paid at time and half over contracted hours, double time for Sunday
5 days consecutive rest every 3 weeks
You will be responsible for
1. Leading your team to deliver end to end DC routines and standards ensuring the best possible level of service is given whilst consistently achieving or outperforming the KPI’s.
2. Review shift capability plans against budget requirements to ensure sufficient resource is in place at all times.
3. Manage daily/weekly operational challenges as required through direct communication with the Operations Manager, Team Managers, Assistant Transport Managers Store & DC replenishment teams.
4. Ensure all One Stop and Agency colleagues are well trained, validated and capable to deliver their role.
5. Build the capability of my managers, making sure they have received the operational and leadership training to do their job and provide ongoing coaching and mentoring.
6. Monitor Team Manager performance in Leadership and communication skills, operational capability controls section controls, system knowledge and KPI achievement.
7. Manage, monitor and review DC Health & Safety performance ensuring that all of the team actively contribute towards achieving a positive Health & Safety culture within the DC ensuring all moral, legal and financial controls are in place to the correct standard as cited in the H&S policy. Apply a consistent zero tolerance to anyone breaching safe systems of work.
8. Ensure site security systems and processes are 100% compliant with all call out and escalation list/processes up to date.
9. Management of the sites stock/shrink position by working directly with the Inventory Controller ensuring all count targets and KPIs are achieved.
10. Maintain Health & Hygiene standards internally and externally.
11. Champion change, share ideas and experiences to deliver results.
You will need
Whilst being ready to roll up your sleeves and do what’s needed to put our customers at the heart of everything we do, as part of the One Stop & Tesco family, you’ll need to have:
1. Good knowledge of warehouse management systems
2. Great communication skills both written and verbal
3. Knowledge of Health & safety compliance (IOSH)
4. Knowledge of Warehouse operations compliance
5. Knowledge of MHE operational requirements
6. NVQ Warehouse Management (desirable)
7. Good computer skills including Microsoft Word & Excel
