We're looking for experienced people to join our expanding Finance team. As the scale and complexity of Deliveroo grows every day, we need dynamic, entrepreneurial, analytical thinkers to support the business. You will report to our Group Financial Controller and be based out of our HQ office (Cannon Street, London), operating on a hybrid model of 3 days per week in office.
This is an important role on the accounting and financial reporting team, responsible for a significant part of our main business.
What you'll do:
1. Oversee and review the month-end reporting for your regions.
2. Partner with the other financial reporting managers and broader finance teams, to ensure month-end is completed on time across the Group.
3. Ensure financial controls are operational and documented across the business.
4. Lead the local audits for your regions and contribute to the Group audit and contributing to any other regulatory and tax inspections where applicable.
5. Oversee the preparation of local stats and ensure they are filed on time.
6. Provide technical accounting guidance, demonstrating an excellent understanding of IFRS.
7. Manage a small team, responsible for performance management, development, reviewing work and coaching.
8. Lead certain ad hoc projects for the group, which may relate to our processes.
9. Explore the use of automation to improve processes and ways of working across the finance team
Requirements
10. You will need to be ACA / ACCA or equivalent qualified with at least 4+ years of post-qualified experience.
11. Preferably relevant industry or startup experience.
12. You will use big data to solve problems.
13. Netsuite experience is a bonus.
We need someone who can be flexible, with a positive, 'can do' attitude, and able to get on with people at all levels and across a range of departments in the business. Across all levels and teams are important, including the ability to distil complex accounting information to make it understandable for non-accountants.
