Join Our Team as a Project Coordinator!
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Project Coordinator with experience in the utilities industry to support our project teams. In this role, you'll provide essential administrative and operational assistance, ensuring smooth project planning, execution, and completion. Acting as the backbone of coordination, you will oversee activities, manage resources, engage with stakeholders, and maintain up-to-date project documentation.
Key Responsibilities
* Schedule resources in Smartsheet, working closely with the Electrical Project Manager for accuracy.
* Liaise with SSEN and the RFQ team to resolve design issues.
* Maintain Depotnet, updating key project milestones (start, jointing, overhead, and electrical completion dates for PROMIS).
* Organise project phases, log interactions, and ensure site visit photos are properly recorded.
* Arrange traffic management (TM) services, and coordinate street works permits with civil and electrical PMs.
* Address TM-related issues, including consultations with councils and highway authorities.
* Manage third-party concerns such as tree protection, restricted access, and work near historical sites.
* Plan and coordinate Power Supply Interruptions (PSI) with SAP, OH departments, and customer service teams.
* Oversee commercial project elements, ensuring CEs are completed, generators are booked, and customer impacts are considered.
* Work with SSEN to coordinate LV shutdowns and monitor PSI progress.
* Handle customer complaints and troubleshoot site issues related to jointing, overhead, and civils teams.
* Attend weekly Power Engineering courses to expand industry knowledge.
* Balance workload effectively while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
What You Bring
* Industry Experience: Background in utilities, with knowledge of Street Works and the New Roads and Street Works Act.
* Project Coordination: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
* Technical Proficiency: Experience using project management tools like Microsoft Project, Asana, or Trello.
* Communication Skills: Strong ability to engage with stakeholders and collaborate effectively.
