Plant Shift Engineer Barnsley Plant Reports directly to Plant Shift Engineer First Line Manager Role description To form part of a team of 4 Engineers to ensure the efficient and effective operation of site equipment by carrying out repairs, maintenance & adjustment following break downs and equipment malfunctions, and to support product change overs as and when required. The areas of work will be but not necessarily confined to, Batch and Furnace. Hot end Production. Cold end Production. Brand Enhancement. Responsibilities: Comply with Company Health and Safety Procedures in order to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and those around you. Carry out housekeeping as required in accordance with Company Hygiene Rules. To provide a service to site for, Emergency repairs and fault finding across all Plant machinery. Liaise with Plant Shift Engineer to ascertain correct course of action to follow. Accurately complete the SAP engineering log for any work carried out throughout the shift. Required skills / qualifications: Apprentice trained Electrical or Mechanical craftsperson. Good knowledge of Plant layout & equipment. Ability to dismantle/reassemble; Diagnose faults. Awareness of relevant computer systems: IPS (Image Processing System); APS; SAP Understanding of terminology relating to: Cold & Hot End equipment faults; Equipment; Process; Container Defects. What we offer Salary based on Grade 8 of the harmonised pay scales. Salary min £43,000 - £49,409 max. Salary sacrifice pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributions 12hr days/nights Holidays- 21 shifts when working the 5 crew 12-hour shift rota, holidays are built into the shift 5 crew rota.
