Design Sales Consultant - Based Exeter
Basic salary £25,750 plus bonus and excellent benefits.
My client is seeking an entrepreneurial natural Design Sales Consultant in the interior design industry, with an excellent understanding of current design trends and fashions.
You will have a good understanding of design principles, space planning, and aesthetics.
We are looking for an excellent communicator with an outgoing, enthusiastic, and confident personality who possesses a strong interior design background and can demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
1. Provide design expertise and sales support to clients.
2. Collaborate with customers to understand their design preferences and requirements.
3. Offer tailored design solutions and guide clients through the sales process.
4. Ensure customer satisfaction and achieve sales targets.
Candidate Skills
1. Experience of working in luxury retail with a good appreciation for high-end products.
2. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders.
3. Demonstrated ability to present and sell design concepts to clients.
4. Proficiency in design software and tools (e.g., Virtual Worlds, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) is preferred.
5. Knowledge of construction materials, finishes, and product specifications would be advantageous.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
7. Results-oriented with a proven track record in achieving sales targets.
Duties
1. Greet customers and assist them in finding what they are looking for.
2. Complete sales accurately and efficiently.
3. Learn about the product ranges and regularly update to meet changing trends.
4. Provide exceptional customer service and guidance to all customers.
5. Engage with clients to understand their design preferences, requirements, and budget constraints.
6. Conduct thorough needs assessments to determine suitable design solutions for clients' spaces or projects.
7. Build strong relationships with clients, establishing trust and rapport to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
8. Actively promote and sell design products and solutions to clients.
9. Prepare detailed design proposals and product recommendations, including material samples, and produce visual drawings if required.
10. Present design solutions to clients, addressing their technical necessities and feedback, making necessary revisions to generate sales.
11. Provide accurate and detailed product information, pricing, quotes, sales orders, and after-sales care to facilitate the sales process.
12. Close sales deals in a professional and timely manner.
13. Continuously learn about product ranges that are regularly updated to meet changing trends.
14. Share expertise with clients by providing insights and recommendations on design choices, materials, and finishes.
15. Help curate display solutions for showrooms and give direction to the new product forum.
16. Key holder - responsible for opening and closing the showroom.
17. Assist with showroom paperwork.
