Our Investment Research team is growing, and we are looking for a new junior colleague to provide valuable investment recommendations and insights to our Investment Managers.
Starting with fund selection across both open-end funds and listed investment companies, you’ll provide recommendations and coverage that directly impacts our client portfolios.
This role will give you opportunities to be involved in many different areas of investment research. Once you are settled in, you will be trusted to work with high levels of autonomy to provide thoroughly researched recommendations and coverage to the wider Redmayne Bentley network.
You will be empowered to actively contribute to our investment committee meetings and assist in the further development of our centralised research process.
You will also contribute to routine operational tasks supporting the investment management team.
Alongside these core duties, there will also be opportunities to:
* Establish your own personal profile by producing written content for our client publications.
* Build and maintain relationships with fund houses and sell-side brokers.
What we’re looking for:
Qualifications & Experience:
* Level 4 RDR qualified or higher (CISI or CFA).
* At least 1 year of experience or exposure to conducting investment research.
* Previous experience with listed investment companies or analysing multiple asset classes would be desirable.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Good foundation of knowledge about financial markets, investments and wealth management.
* Adaptable: ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively.
* Analytical: Strong numerical and data analysis skills.
* Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to accuracy and taking note of all relevant information.
* Communication Skills: Both written and oral, to provide an excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.
* IT Skills: Confident user of Microsoft Office (ideally intermediate level).
* Organisational Skills: Well organised and able to see tasks through to completion.
* Proactive: Able to work effectively within a team and autonomously.
We also expect candidates to share and be advocates for our firm’s values of Excellence, Integrity, Respect, Responsibility and Teamwork.
