Find your future with us A new opportunity has arisen within the Boeing Vertical Lift Supply Chain team for a Supply Chain Specialist working within the UK Apache LTTSS programme. You will support end users through the fulfillment of materiel demands. This role will initially be responsible for supporting the NATO codification of materiel of spares and will then be responsible for the asset management of spares. The successful candidate will need to be a proactive, agile thinker, able to solve complex problems within a multi-stakeholder environment. Responsible to the Apache Material Flow Manager, you will carry out applicable duties and will be aware of, and follow, Boeing's stringent safety procedures and processes. Responsibilities include: Management of the codification process in support of new and existing tasks. Includes liaison with Engineering, Supplier Management & Procurement, suppliers and customers. Ensure drumbeat metrics are in place to support SCMB on a monthly basis. Receive materiel from the Boeing Supply Chain and bring it on charge using Boeing Log IS. Use Boeing forecasting tools to determine levels of materiel required for induction into the Boeing Repair and Overhaul system to maintain accurate Target Stock Levels to satisfy contractual Key Performance Indicators. Movement of all materiel entering the reverse supply chain on Boeing Log IS and produce any necessary paperwork. Identify and resolve supply chain management issues and discrepancies. Track and monitor repairable parts within the reverse supply chain. Support Company safety processes and procedures by identifying and reporting safety concerns to preclude injury or hardware damage. Progression of end user demands to support maintenance planning and decision making. Apply inventory optimisation principles to streamline holdings of slow/non-moving parts. Apply Continuous Improvement methodologies to seek opportunities to deliver best value for money to the programme Develop productive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Effectively deal with any queries, correspondence or return of non-conforming spares. To carryout/assist in other Supply duties as required by the Material Flow Manager or the Material Flow Team Leader. Able to follow standard operating procedures and work in a methodical, tidy and safe manner. Support the Apache Material Flow Manager or Material Team Leader with the implementation of Company Policy and Procedure. Support and promote Continuous Improvement projects. Through the generation sound CI and cost saving methodologies to seek opportunities to best deliver value for money to the programme and the customer. Create, maintain and submit contractually required metrics and performance reports to ensure full adherence to our agreed Business key performance indicator's. Key interfaces include: Liaison with other UK Supply Chain functions (Strategic, Supplier Management and Procurement and Asset Managers). Boeing Training, Engineering and Quality teams to assist with the management of repairable and non-conforming parts. Supply Chain employees at dispersed locations throughout the Boeing Defence UK entities. Attend/host internal meetings as necessary. Travel to other Boeing and customer sites as required. Preferred experience: Experience of supply chain related activities & operations, ideally within the aviation/defence industry. Flexible, highly motivated with a pro-active approach to assigned duties. Able to work within a small team. Possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word. Excel and PowerPoint). Demonstrate sound communication skills to deal with all customers and colleagues. The ability to obtain SC Clearance. Desirable experience: Experience working with Management Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI), Base Inventory Warehouse Management System (BIWMS), SAP and Warehouse-On-Web (WOW) software would be an advantageous but not essential. Experience of Ministry of Defence Supply Chain regulations. This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security Clearance for which the UK Government requires UK residency.
