Job Title: Team Leader - Residential Children's Homes Location: Dudley Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, including sleeps Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Role: With over 32 years experience in residential childcare, my client has worked tirelessly to ensure they provide safe and nurturing homes for the children in their care. Growing from one home to a care large provider in the industry, working with children from various backgrounds including complex trauma, child sexual exploration and learning difficulties. We're looking for a passionate and experienced Team Leader to join this company in one of their homes in the West Midlands - Birmingham, Dudley or Cannock. What You'll Be Doing: Supporting young people with their emotional, social, and physical needs. Leading, mentoring, and motivating a team of Residential Support Workers and Seniors. Helping create and follow care plans that put the children first. Encouraging a safe, positive, and nurturing environment where kids can thrive. Supporting the Registered Manager with Ofsted regulations and policies. Handling challenging behaviours in a calm and professional way. Planning and joining in with fun activities and outings. Acting as a key worker, offering guidance and emotional support. Keeping accurate records and ensuring safeguarding procedures are always followed. What We're Looking For: Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) (a must-have). Experience working in a children's residential setting. Leadership skills with the ability to support and inspire a team. Great communication and people skills. A caring, patient, and resilient attitude.
