What makes Community Integrated Care a great place to work: Here at Community Integrated Care we are looking for Support workers in Hoddesdon. How would you feel about helping others and doing the things that you both enjoy, whilst getting paid to do them?Would you like a flexible working pattern with guaranteed hours?
Our promise has always been clear: we will do everything in our power to improve pay for colleagues.
So, until 31 March your pay will be £11.94 per hour and then from the 1 April, it will increase to £12.62 per hour.
Can you see yourself spending your whole shift in the same home, with the same person you support, meaning you can have the greatest impact on their lives? We will pay for your DBS application.
Would you like to see yourself working for a multi-award-winning Charity that invests all of its profits right back to the people we support, our workforce, and our local communities? How about working with supportive leaders and great colleagues? There are other great benefits too:
1. Wear your own casual clothes, as we do not have a uniform!
2. Shopping discounts scheme.
3. You will be entitled to 28 days annual leave inclusive of statutory bank holidays for full time (part time is worked out on a pro-rata basis) and a workplace Pension scheme too.
4. Ongoing continued professional development and progression opportunities.
5. Recommend a Friend Bonus scheme.
6. Financial Hardship Fund.
7. Free wellbeing advice and support options.
One of the values of Community Integrated Care is our passion for our people and every year we invest heavily in our front-line worker pay, in line with the Living Wage increase each April.
Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: We are a group of exceptional individuals aged between 47 and 68. We all have different interests and characters which makes our home such a great place to live. We enjoy spending time together doing fun activities or just having a cup of tea and a chat around the dining room table having fun and laughing. We all share a love for music and some of us enjoy a good old sing along. We have lived together for a few years now and have built loving, kind, caring and respectful relationships, and although we enjoy spending time together we are respectful of each other’s choices, personal space, and belongings. We also love to get out and about and enjoy life with trips to the seaside and wildlife parks in the minibus and also out to local coffee shops and we do enjoy a tipple at our local pub, so having a full UK manual driving licence is key.
Your values: We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role will have professional experience. This is why we're really passionate about recruiting to individuals’ values and we recruit people from all walks of life; from people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.
Naturally, it is important too that you share our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support. People's values are important to us, so we look for people with:
* Patience
* Empathy, compassion and sensitivity to others
* A strong work ethic
* Reliability
* Honesty
* Determination
* A problem solver
* Resilience
