About the Role
As Technology Services Director, you will lead the development and implementation of the strategic vision for Softcat's technology services. You will be accountable for leading and managing the end-to-end IT operations and service management, ensuring the stability, scalability and security of both application and infrastructure services to ensure high service availability
As Technology Services Director, you'll be responsible for:
* Developing and implementing of the strategic vision for Softcat's internal technology services, ensuring alignment with Softcat's overall goals
* Running the development of infrastructure platforms, products, and services
* Managing enterprise data service (including underlying infrastructure), management and governance
* Overseeing the operation of the service desk, ensuring it is equipped to handle incidents, service requests, and queries efficiently
* Owning the end-to-end service management processes, including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management and Service Request Management
We'd love you to have
* Proven experience in a senior strategic, enterprise focused technology leadership role
* Strong strategic thinking and visionary skills with the ability to co-develop and drive Softcat's technology services vision
* Proven track record of collaborating with stakeholders to develop and gain support for a clear and compelling enterprise-level technology services vision, strategy & roadmap
* Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and develop teams
* Able to foster a culture of professional growth, continuous learning and innovation within the team
