About this opportunity:
The Systems Development and Support Team within ICT, who are currently hosted by Cumberland but works for both Cumberland Council and Westmorland & Furness Council, are seeking to appoint a motivated and proactive Systems Development & Information Assistant to work within our Adults Finance Team.
As a Systems Development & Information Assistant, you will support the delivery and maintenance of the Controcc system by ensuring processes are effective, data is accurate, and staff are supported in using technology to deliver a high-quality service.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide day to day support to system users of Controcc, resolve queries and escalate issues if necessary.
* Collaborate with colleagues within the Adult Finance Team to help ensure Cumberland Council and Westmorland and Furness Council can deliver great outcomes for its residents.
* Assist with data entry, data quality checks and data cleansing tasks.
* Build relationships with stakeholders across Cumberland Council and Westmorland and Furness Council.
* Act as a point of contact for the Adult Finance Team.
Who we’re looking for:
To excel in this role, you will have experience or an interest in working with IT systems and databases. You will have strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with fellow employees. You will assist in delivering training and mentoring to ensure core business systems are used effectively. You should be able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks effectively, and knowledge of systems used in the public sector and social care would be desirable.

Cumberland Council is currently delivering a hosted ICT Service for Cumberland Council, Westmorland and Furness Council, and Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service. The provision of these services will be disaggregated at a future date and employees will be TUPE allocated to one of the two Councils.
