We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join the team at a respected SEN college in Warrington for an ongoing position.The college supports students aged 16–19 with a vision to nurture & develop students’ potential, preparing them for life & meaningful employment. Students have a range of additional needs, including severe learning difficulties, complex learning difficulties, & profound & multiple learning difficulties. The SEN teacher role involves educating and mentoring students, implementing behaviour management strategies, and adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners. The ideal candidate will have skilled teaching background and have supported students with a range of SEN and behavioural needs. SEN Teacher Responsibilities
* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of students.
* Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
* Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support students' educational journeys.
* Mentor students in their personal development, encouraging positive social interactions and self-confidence.
* Maintain accurate records of student performance and behaviour.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements
* A degree in Education or a related field, with a focus on Special Education preferred.
* Strong skills in behaviour management and the ability to implement effective strategies.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written,
* A commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting while also demonstrating initiative.
