The Role
* Conduct comprehensive analysis of the global animal health market, identifying trends, growth opportunities, and emerging technologies.
* Perform competitor analysis to assess market positioning and pinpoint strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
* Identify new business development opportunities and assist in strategy formulation and execution to drive company growth.
* Collaborate with key internal teams to develop and refine strategies, ensuring alignment with the company's long-term goals.
* Build and manage strong relationships with partners, key opinion leaders, and industry experts.
* Analyse data to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision making. • Prepare monthly delivery performance reports, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Product Development, to gather insights and refine strategies.
* Engage with external stakeholders, including potential partners and clients, to gather strategic insights and maintain strong relationships.
* Stay attuned to shifts in market dynamics, consumer behaviour, and emerging technologies, adapting strategies as necessary.
* Drive the development of new initiatives, sales proposals, and product offerings tailored to the needs of key accounts.
Essential Criteria:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Life Sciences, or a related field
* 2+ years of experience in business development, market research, or a similar analytical role, ideally within the animal health or pharmaceutical industry
* Strong market analysis, research, and strategy development skills.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across internal and external teams.
* High-level analytical aptitude and ability to distil complex data into actionable insights.
* Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities.
* Demonstrable business acumen and commercial judgement.
* Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
* Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
* Highly credible with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with senior leadership, clients, and key stakeholders.
