The Best Connection Ltd are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor on behalf of one of our well known clients in the Crewe area. Our client is a well known with various sites around the UK, specialising in equipment distribution.
As a warehouse supervisor you will be supporting the Depot Manager and supervising employees working within the Depot to ensure that KPI targets are met. Motivating and driving team performance is a key part of the role. Covering the Senior Supervisor/Depot Manager role during periods of absence.
A strong focus and emphasis are key and a fundamental part of the role:-
* Implementation and maintenance of all BRCGS requirements
* HACCP, HSHE, Quality Management Control and legality
* Budgetary and cost control
* Continuous improvement initiatives
* High level of Customer Service
Main duties will include:
* Supporting all activities associated with the smooth and efficient running of the Depot
* To support the Depot Manager in meeting/exceed KPI targets
* Responsible for applying the BRCGS requirements through the understanding of the Standard Operating Procedures, SSOW, prescribed templates and checklists.
* As the HACCP Leader, ensure that all aspects of product quality, safety, security and legality are maintained within the operation through the prerequisite programs and resulting control points and critical control points identified through the HACCP study.
* To develop excellent relationships with customers, 3rd Party, and the supply chain
* To work with the Equipment Control Team to ensure that Asset Management protocols and procedures are accurately administered and maintained.
* To ensure that Depot function effectively supports the implementation of HSE, Hygiene and HR policies/procedures.

Education and qualifications required:
* Educated to GCSE Level, or equivalent in maths or english
* Microsoft Excel/Word (Intermediate Level)
* Microsoft Outlook (email)
Personal attributes and experience required:
* Confident and professional approach.
* A conscientious and highly motivated self-starter with ‘can do’ attitude and ability to prioritise.
* A natural ability to inspire, lead and develop employees.
* Previous work experience working as a Supervisor in a fast paced environment.
* Understanding of the BRCGS Storage & Distribution requirements
* Root Cause Analysis with the ability to understand and complete a Risk Assessment and create an SSOW
Experience working in the Retail, Logistics or Manufacturing industry would be advantageous.
Skills and knowledge required:
* First Aid
* Full FLT Licence (ITTSAR or RTITB license)
* Effective communication skills – oral and written
* Inspire, influence, lead and develop the team to engage and deliver
* To work closely with other business functions particularly Equipment Control, HSHE and HR
* To develop excellent relationships with suppliers, 3rd Party and transport
* Deliver team briefings effectively and confidently
Hours of work:
Due to the nature of the business you must be able to work any 5 days over 7, on a 4 week rotating rota of days, noons and nights (this is subject to change during peak periods/annual leave).
Pay rates are as followed:
Days/noons: £14.73 per hour
Nights: £15.73 per hour
Any hours worked over 37.5 per week will be paid at time and 1/3
Any hours worked on bank hols will be paid at time and a 1/2
This is a temp to perm positon, once you have completed 12 weeks consecutive work
