Job summary In collaboration with the Designated Doctors for Looked after children and the wider Looked after children health team, the successful candidates will contribute to the development of practice aimed at improving health outcomes for Looked after Children Main duties of the job The designated nurse for looked after children and care leavers will fulfil the requirements of this post as outlined in working together to safeguard children 2023, promoting the health and well-being of looked after children 2015 and the intercollegiate guidance; looked after children roles and competences of healthcare staff 2020. The purpose of the post is to be a source of expert advice and enable the ICB to meet its statutory duties in relation to looked after children and care leavers.
