Gi Pro are proud to be working in partnership with a manufacturing specialist. This company manufactures specialist products to industries across the world including aerospace and automotive and is at the forefront of their industry on an international level.
Job Role:
As a maintenance engineer, you will be tasked with carrying out reactive, preventative, and proactive maintenance for all equipment on site.
Typical Duties will involve:
1. Conducting and diagnosing electrical fault finding and repairs.
2. CNC fault finding and repairs.
3. Helping develop, implement, and monitor systems such as Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, and Reliability-Centred Maintenance.
4. Supporting the TPM plan.
5. Conducting analysis and investigations using Failure Mode Analysis and Root Cause Analysis (5 Whys) on equipment failures that affect product quality, equipment uptime, and plant capacity.
6. Participating in the creation and review of maintenance procedures and policies.
7. Assisting with facility repairs as required.
8. Supporting machine relocation (disconnection and re-commissioning).
9. Maintaining competent record keeping.
Desirable experience:
1. Relevant Engineering qualification (electrical).
2. Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
3. Experience with electrical motors, gear boxes, bearings, and sensors.
4. Installation of machinery.
5. Ability to be self-sufficient while working alongside mechanical experts.
6. Demonstrated ability in root cause analysis/problem-solving processes.
7. Mechanical knowledge.
8. CNC knowledge (desirable).
