Quality Advisor Reporting to: Quality Manager Position based: Field Based Salary Band: £30-36k per annum Hours: Full Time Holidays: 25 all bank holidays, Birthday off, Christmas Shopping Day Benefits: Westfield Health Scheme Purpose of role: The role of Quality Advisor is to ensure the organisation’s quality of learning provision is consistently relevant, innovative, monitored and compliant thus meeting and exceeding internal and external contractual and stakeholder requirements such as Ofsted, DFE, Prime Contractors and other stakeholders regulatory requirements. You will support the quality of the programme’s teaching, learning and assessment for a wide range of qualifications across provision. You will support delivery staff with ensuring they are fully qualified and competent to deliver the programme of learning and qualifications to learners applying a range of teaching, learning and assessment activities in order to support the quality of the learner journey and planned qualification achievement. Key Responsibilities: Supporting the quality of teaching, learning & assessment across all programmes through the implementation of the observations of teaching, learning and assessment strategy and curriculum deep dives To undertake departmental Quality Support Visits to identify resource, support and training needs business wide. To support individuals and teams with development action plans derived from quality monitoring activity outcomes. To support the Self-Assessment and QIP process and be instrumental in driving this across the provision Support the CPD of our delivery teams to ensure ongoing updating competence and knowledge in delivery areas including the scope, design and delivery of staff development activities. To develop and support the design and structure of programme learner journeys and relevant learning resources across provision. Continued update of online delivery components in line with curriculum developments for example, OneFile Develop and maintain relationships with End Point Assessment Organisations (EPAO) and Awarding Organisations as required. Sampling activities of learners and monitoring progression towards their learner journey to support and ensure timely achievement of learners in conjunction with the operations teams Reporting and evaluating data to ensure all targets and KPI measures are consistently achieved Ensure consistency with Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework and develop sector improvement plans to support the overarching business improvement plan (BIP) To maintain up to date knowledge of funding streams, qualifications, apprenticeship standards, their delivery, the apprenticeship levy and EFSA funding rules To work closely with colleagues within other departments to support meet business priorities as required Essential Criteria: Experience of Ofsted inspection and demonstratable understanding of the Education Inspection Framework in the FE and Skills Sector Relevant assessing, quality assurance and teaching qualifications Ability to communicate with managers, staff and stakeholders in an effective way Experience of working with e-portfolio systems/learner management systems Experience of quality assurance processes inc observations and feedback to delivery teams Strong IT skills and confident in using a range of IT tools An analytical and inquisitive mind determined to provide timely and accurate information as required Highly organised and good eye for detail Previous experience in working with training providers and/or colleges A passion for working with learners and helping them develop A commitment to supporting and developing staff To track apprenticeship funding changes, best practice and competitor benchmarking to make recommendations of how these can be applied.
