We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Rhondda Cynon to assist with the appointment of a Lifeline and Out of Hours Operator on a 2-month contract, likely to be extended at client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £13.73 - £18.11 per hour
Hours Per Week: 24.00
Summary:
The Lifeline & Out Of Hours Operator will be responsible for responding to Lifeline clients and handling Council Out of Hours emergencies. The role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills to provide reassurance and proactive referrals to responders as needed.
Responsibilities:
* Respond to Lifeline and emergency out-of-hours calls, prioritizing based on risk factors.
* Undertake proactive calls to support the well-being of individuals.
* Work closely with social care teams to deliver and promote Lifeline and Telecare services.
* Monitor and maintain telecare units, updating client and equipment records.
* Handle emergency calls for Registered Social Landlords and Council services.
* Monitor lone workers and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
* Maintain records and hand over ongoing actions/issues between shifts.
Essentials:
* Experience dealing with customers and using IT applications (including Microsoft Office).
* Ability to handle multiple calls and prioritize effectively.
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.

* This role requires an enhanced DBS.
