Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, efficient, and organised individual to join our Clinical Governance Team within the Medicine and Acute divisions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Team, with a particular emphasis on assisting with audit work, database management, and data analysis. Accuracy and timeliness are key for this post within our busy division to support the delivery of the best quality and safest care to patients.
The successful candidate must therefore possess GCSEs (or equivalent) including English, Mathematics, and IT, along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook. They must also demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills, as they will be working within a busy team and communicating with a variety of different healthcare professionals across the Trust.
Main Duties of the Job
* Preparation of information to support departmental/corporate reports, divisional incident, and complaint investigations.
* Provision of accurate information collection and analysis tools.
* Co-ordination of meeting agendas and taking, transcribing, and distributing minutes of meetings from services within the division and Trust-wide within agreed time frames.
* Assist with the design of communication material for key safety issues.
* Supporting clinical audits and leading on agreed non-clinical audits.
* Handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately in line with information governance legislation.
* Support the division to maintain guidelines, policies, and SOPs within a defined timeframe, ensuring they remain up to date.

Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training
Essential
* Ability to demonstrate NHS experience within clinical governance settings.
* Ability to liaise with staff at all levels of the Organisation.
Desirable
* Experience of working in the fields of audit, clinical governance, or risk management.
* European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or equivalent.
* Experience of working with senior clinical staff.
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
* Computer literacy - competent in the use of Outlook, Word, Excel, Database, PowerPoint.
* Good written and verbal communication.
Desirable
* Competent at minute taking in a variety of settings.
* Analysing complex/multifunctional datasets.
* Basic knowledge of organisational and management structures in the NHS.
