My client, a top London firm are looking for a furniture porter to join their growing team.
Purpose of the role
The Porter is responsible for supporting the setup, maintenance, and smooth operation of conference and banqueting, ensuring all areas are arranged to agreed standards and operational needs are met.
Key duties include assisting with deliveries, furniture and equipment transport, supporting Audio Visual and Facilities teams, and maintaining adherence to health and safety standards. The role also involves deputising for the Senior Porter, identifying maintenance needs, and promoting operational efficiency, sustainability, and high-quality service standards.
Main duties and responsibilities
Set up Conference and Banqueting areas with furniture/equipment in required layouts to agreed standards according to relevant requirements, and complete erection/dismantling of scaffolding where required.
Support with both Front of House and Back of House area as and when required.
Act as an ambassador in all business relationships, maintaining high-quality guest service standards, identify training needs, and striving to exceed expectations in operations and administrative tasks.
