Key responsibilities:
1. Play a pivotal role in our wet lab
2. Planning and conducting experimental work in protein engineering including DNA library design, performance of high-throughput screening assays, and validation of enzyme candidates regarding plastic-degrading activity
3. Protein expression, purification, and characterisation
4. Maintaining records of experimental work
Skills, qualifications and experience needed:
1. A Master's degree or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biophysics, or related field
2. Experience in DNA cloning and purification, DNA library design, in vitro mutagenesis, protein expression, purification, and characterisation
3. Interest in high-throughput screening and liquid handling systems (desirable)
4. The drive to work both independently and collaboratively, with strong organisational skills
