Bickerton Holy Trinity CE Primary School are seeking to employ a committed, enthusiastic, qualified Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This post is a part-time temporary position to 31 st August 2025 with the possibility to extend for a further year (32.5hours) Grade 6. You will be an essential part of our team assisting class teachers and the wider team in delivering lessons and supporting students. You will be part of our children’s learning journey creating a safe and supportive environment for them to flourish in their education, equipping them with lifelong learning skills. This role includes: Supporting class teachers in preparing individual programmes and learning materials appropriate to the needs of the learners Delivering individual/small group pupil programmes and learning interventions Understanding the support needs of individual students to enable and facilitate their learning Supporting pupils in their lunchtime and break times to ensure that they are safe and happy Leading activities and occasionally covering lessons which have been planned and are overseen by the class teacher Promoting, supporting and facilitating inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning Supporting the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum aimed at pupils achieving their full potential in all areas of learning Using effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school’s policy and procedures Promoting the safety and wellbeing of pupils, and helping to safeguard pupils’ wellbeing by following the requirements of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and our school’s child protection policy Looking after children who are upset or have had accidents Supporting the emotional wellbeing of pupils Safeguarding Work in line with statutory safeguarding guidance (e.g. Keeping Children Safe in Education, Prevent) and our safeguarding and child protection policies Promote the safeguarding of all pupils in the school The successful Candidate will: Be a highly motivated individual with a commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences for all children Have the ability to be flexible, show initiative, be reliable and enthusiastic Demonstrate the ability and commitment to work as part of a team Have the ability to contribute to and follow plans set by teachers Have the willingness to undertake training Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills Be fully supportive of the Christian vision and ethos of the school Have experience in working with Children with SEND in an educational setting Be enthusiastic about making a difference to the lives of our all our children.
