Financial Management: Oversee the preparation and management of the education budget. Monitor income and expenditure to ensure financial sustainability. Drive revenue-generating opportunities. Identify areas for cost savings and financial efficiencies. Ensure compliance with relevant financial policies and regulations. Contract Management: Manage contracts and customer relationships, maintaining good relationships whilst maximising contract opportunities. Horizon scan for new contract opportunities and lead on tender applications. Human Resources & Staffing: Manage the recruitment and retention of support staff, liaising with HR teams where appropriate. Coordinate the training and development of our people to ensure operational efficiency. Develop engagement strategies with our education faculty and maximise individual contribution to ECS. Facilities and Estate Management: Ensure the education centre is safe, well-maintained, and comply with health and safety regulations. Oversee facilities management, including cleaning, security, and maintenance. Strategic Planning & Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of ECS strategic plan, particularly in relation to business development. Support the Chief Operating Officer in setting and achieving educational goals. Ensure compliance with awarding bodies policies and regulations. Health & Safety: Ensure the education department adheres to all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Oversee risk assessments related to education and training, and implement health and safety policies.
