Medical Information and Governance Associate
In this exciting hybrid role, you will become an integral part of our Medical Information and Medical Governance team. If you are a proactive, engaging Life Science professional with a passion for enhancing medical governance and compliance, we invite you to join us in our mission to deliver outstanding medical information support that positively impacts patient care and organisational success.
Major Tasks
1. Act as the interface between Global Medical Information (MI) and third-party providers to deliver consistent, high-quality MI services for internal and external stakeholders.
2. Coordinate & respond to MI inquiries involving local products or those requiring involvement from local functions e.g. Legal, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory, Medical Affairs.
3. Maintain local Standard Response Documents (SRDs) to support local products.
4. Ensure compliance with local MI regulations, including data privacy in collaboration with global MI Governance and support audit readiness, level 2 testing, and business continuity.
5. Update and manage ABPI Code-related Quality System Documents (QSDs) and corresponding training materials in MyLearning under the direction of the Strategic Expert, Medical Governance and/or the Medical Governance Officers.
6. Track and manage complaints and non-compliance incidents, ensuring all required actions are completed per relevant QSDs.
7. Organize compliance training events, including scheduling, communications, room bookings, and maintaining training records in MyLearning.
8. Provide administrative and governance support, including maintaining document certification statuses, managing email distribution lists, and supporting material uploads into Content Factory for certification or examination.
9. Maintain an accurate list of all UK Medical Governance and UK Medical Information materials and documents which are held locally, including their certification/review status.
10. Support other Medical Governance tasks including but not limited to; requesting purchase orders, maintenance of email distribution lists, and other relevant duties as deemed necessary by the Strategic Expert, Medical Governance.
Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in biological science or medical science.
* Medical information and/or ABPI Code of Practice compliance experience/knowledge is highly advantageous.
* Good at building effective working relationships between functions.
* Engaging, motivating and collaborative style.
* Proven record of relationship building, both internal and external to the organization.
* Proven administrative capabilities along with strong attention to detail.
* Strong written communication skills.
* Competent working with Microsoft packages, particularly with Excel.
* Proactive and able to juggle priorities effectively.
