We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer for our Education & Early Years department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and assessing childcare programmes, managing a group of students, and contributing to course management and planning activities.
What we're looking for:
* Minimum grade C/4 GCSE in Maths and English (or equivalent).
* Experience working with children and young people in early years and education settings.
* Innovative and competent in utilising resources to create a stimulating learning environment.
* Effective in managing behaviour and motivating students.
* Excellent team-working, communication, and organisational skills.
General Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality teaching and tutorials on a range of courses within Education & Early Years.
* Implement innovative teaching techniques, including new technologies, to promote equality and diversity.
* Manage student morale and discipline, ensuring an appropriate learning environment.
* Accurately record and report data, including student progress.
* Maintain teaching files and ensure quality assurance procedures are met.
* Keep up to date with academic and vocational subjects, and maintain links with industry.
* Support safeguarding and equality and diversity initiatives.
* Liaise with course teams, student support teams, and parents/carers.
* Cover classes for absent colleagues when necessary.
* Attend parents’ evenings and promotional activities, including occasional evenings.
