Main duties of the job
Participate in adult post-mortem service (and paediatric depending on experience).
Duties to include:
1. receipt and release of deceased
2. the preparation of cadavers for post-mortem examination
3. assisting the pathologist during the examination
4. collection of tissue and body fluid samples
5. use of the Faxitron
6. removal of pacemakers
All duties are to be performed with due regard for the dignity of the deceased and in accordance with local standard operating procedures.

7. RIPH Diploma in APT OR BSc in a biological or forensic science and RSPH Level 3 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology.
Experience
Essential
8. Anatomical Pathology Technologist experience within mortuaries.
