Are you a multi-skilled engineer looking for a role where you can work the Monday - Friday mid shift? This food manufacturing business has gone from strength to strength and is one of the market leaders in baked goods They are looking to strengthen the maintenance team in Daventry with a multi-skilled engineer who has had previous experience in the food manufacturing industry. You will be tasked with ensuring all tasks are completed, planning PPM's, managing the stores and ordering parts and getting stuck in when needed to attend breakdowns so production is back up and running as soon as possible. As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer your responsibilities include: Carrying out reactive maintenance and PPM's. Using both your electrical and mechanical skill set. Diagnosing faults to find the root cause of breakdowns. Supporting continuous improvement projects on site. Working efficiently with the production team to minimise downtime. Skills and Qualifications required for this Multi-Skilled Engineer role: Experience in Maintenance within the food industry. Strong technical background with good verbal and written communication skills. NVQ Level 3 or apprenticeship in Plant Maintenance or associated fields. Ability to execute inspections/verification tasks as per the Maintenance Plan. Understanding of good housekeeping practices, including 5S methodology. Willingness to support and coach production teams on machine inspections and basic maintenance. Flexibility to cover shifts during periods of holiday and to participate in small project work as required. Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality culture activities.
