GMP Recruitment are proud to partner a well-established rapidly expanding manufacturing company, located in Quedgeley, Gloucester. We are currently supporting their recruitment for an experienced Business Development Executive to join their team on a full-time, permanent contract.
The working hours for this position will be Monday - Friday, 07:45am - 16:45pm, offering a basic salary of up to £30,000, dependent on experience, plus excellent company benefits.
The Business Development & Internal Sales Role is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate who is looking to progress in their sales career. The role is an essential part of the sales team and will focus on tracking down new opportunities to quote, following up quotations with customers, filling up the pipeline of secured projects, arranging appointments for external sales staff, and closing orders.

This role naturally prepares staff for a more advanced sales role and is a great opportunity for someone who has a desire to progress in the sales arena.
Business Development Executive main duties:
1. Follow-up quotes on the CRM system
2. Proactive calls to existing or new customers
3. Adding where necessary key data to the CRM
4. Booking of CPD's with contractor/consultants and follow-up
5. Give technical advice to customers and internal stakeholders
6. Communicating with customers to understand their business needs and what products might best suit them to maximise proficiency.
7. Promoting the business, building rapport with new and existing customers, and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the process
8. Building a network of reliable contacts.
9. Utilising new and old sales techniques to drive forward new business.
10. Conducting site visits and client meetings to better understand the prospective business.
Business Development Executive desired skills and experience:
1. Sales experience would be ideal but not essential.
2. Self-motivated, tenacious, driven to succeed, and results-oriented
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills comfortable in networking with internal and external contacts
4. Friendly demeanour that can build relationships easily
5. Can-do attitude
6. Full Driving License and access to a car.
7. Operate as part of a wider team
8. Excellent organisational skills, with a high level of attention to detail
9. Competent level of IT skills
10. IT literate
11. Team player
