The Hive London is actively looking for an experienced IT Technician to join The Hive London. This is an excellent role for someone who is proactive, methodical and inventive, with a strong focus on problem solving and record keeping. The successful candidate will additionally be expected to play a key role in providing first class IT Support across all areas of the club, working with and supporting individuals of all technical abilities. DUTIES Provide 1st and 2nd line support to all stakeholders as required to ensure an efficient and timely resolution. Support The Hive London in the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, networking infrastructure, end-user devices, operating systems, software and peripherals. Benchmark, analyse, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems. Keep current with the latest technologies and supporting technical projects where required. Follow all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, procurement, and service provision. Ensure that all on-boarding and off-boarding processes are completed effectively and all assets are correctly logged and documented in the club's asset management system. Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation on IT equipment and services for both end-users and the IT Department. Offer proactive and reactive IT support for hardware, software, and network issues across Windows and Mac systems. Respond to user requests and provide 1st to 3rd line support across a diverse user base. Provide IT support for matchdays and major events hosted at The Hive London, as required. Ensure completion of any mandatory training required for the role, including internal club training around Safeguarding and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. Carry out any typical IT duties or other reasonable management requests as directed. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Network Management - Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot WAN, LAN, VLANs, TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewalls. Manage Cisco Meraki networks for optimal performance and security. Server and Virtualization Management - Build, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Servers, manage virtualization with VMware eSXI or similar technologies, ensure system uptime, and maintain data integrity. Backup Solutions - Administer cloud-based and local backup systems to safeguard data integrity and ensure business continuity. Active Directory and Microsoft 365 and Cloud Application Administration - Support and manage Active Directory, Users, Groups, Group Policies on a hybrid environment. Manage Microsoft 365 services like SharePoint, Exchange Online, and Teams. Provide end-user support and manage cloud services. Storage Solutions (NAS) - Deploy and maintain NAS equipment for scalable storage solutions, ensuring efficient storage management and data availability. End-User Support - Offer proactive and reactive IT support for hardware, software, and network issues across Windows and Mac systems. Respond to user requests and provide 1st to 3rd line support across a diverse user base. CCTV and Access Control - Maintain and support the CCTV (Avigilon/ Hikvision) systems and deploy new installation where appropriate. Manage and maintain the access control systems (access barriers, access gates, magnetic lock, turnstiles) and ensure reliability. VOIP Telephony Administration - Oversee and manage VOIP telephony systems to ensure seamless communication across departments. Data Security and Compliance - Assist with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and implement best practices for data security and regulatory compliance. Project Management - Plan, implement, and oversee the deployment of IT solutions across the company's sites. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to fully understand their requirements and ensure that the chosen solutions meet company’s needs. Coordinate with third-party contractors and suppliers, managing timelines and ensuring smooth execution and integration of new systems to meet operational goals. Maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle to ensure timely delivery and successful outcomes.
