Are you a qualified Pharmacy Dispenser? Are you interested in gaining valuable experience within Hospital Pharmacy?
We are recruiting qualified dispensing assistants to work with our team and gain valuable experience of working in our busy dispensary alongside our Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants.
You will be involved in the labelling and dispensing of prescriptions and Controlled drugs, and generally assisting the department.
Full dispensing training will be given prior to starting, and you will be recruited as Trust bank staff, giving the opportunity to work additional shifts as needed.
To apply you must hold a NVQ L2 In Pharmacy Service skills or GPhC recognised equivalent qualification.
Main duties of the job
* To deliver a safe and effective pharmacy service
* The post holder will undertake duties in support of the department, including reception duties, dispensing, packing and distributing medicines and general housekeeping duties
* The post holder will be responsible for the daily ordering and receipt of drugs for the dispensary.
* Maintaining accurate stock levels in the dispensary including daily stock taking.
* The post holder will provide support to the senior pharmacy technicians and dispensary manager.
* The purpose of this post should remain constant, but the duties and responsibilities may vary over time within the overall role and level of the post. The post holder may from time to time be asked to undertake other reasonable duties. Any such changes will be made in discussion with the post holder in the light of service needs.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE (or equivalent) grade C in English and Maths
* Level 2 certificate in Pharmacy Service Skills (NVQ) (CQF) is essential for this post.
Experience
* Significant experience of dispensing
* Experience of working in a similar role
