We have an exciting new opportunity for a RAN Planning and Inventory Tools Database Specialist to join our Digital Networks Platforms team.
Reporting to the Technical Lead, this role will be responsible for providing technical development and support of tools in the Radio Network Configuration Management and Inventory area. The role will assist with delivering clear evolution plans that will support our Digital Transformation ambitions. To succeed you will be knowledgeable in OSS tools with database capabilities in SQL, PL/SQL.
The position requires liaison with IT, RAN share partners, 3rd party vendors, Fixed Network customers and key internal customers in developing Tools and solutions to support new technologies and projects.
Key responsibilities
* Develop and execute Logical Planning Tool strategy and manage the provided budget and spend decisions that deliver clear business benefits
* Responsible for technical leadership, development, delivery and lifecycle management of key DNP tools primarily in Configuration Management, Network Discovery and Inventory areas.
* Proactively look for business and process changes and automation opportunities that will benefit network
* Lead and deliver various phases of Magnet transformation plan. This includes liaison with Procurement team to lead RFP activities, contract negotiation and project delivery
* Provide Vodafone Tool Liaison for Beacon related activities and put in place the necessary tools, interfaces and processes to support Beacon network rollout
* Assist in the support of managing a small team of engineers in the Configuration management area
* Provide a sound and supportive level of support to the others in the LPI team, guiding and sharing decisions and potential concerns.
The must haves
* Extensive experience relating to mobile and fixed networks and OSS tools, their installation, use, in life management and retirement.
* Solid Database structure and query skills. SQL, PLSQL, POSTGRE SQL
* Strong understanding of Mobile and Fixed network architecture and OSS and IT technology infrastructure
