Field Engineer
We are looking for a field engineer to join an EPC on a contract basis. The position is 5 days a week onsite based in Royston.
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Normally supervise two or more construction engineers
2. Remain knowledgeable of requirements for applicable codes and standards on a project
3. Receive and distribute project design documents, often supervising the field engineering office
4. Manage site survey and direct their daily activities
5. Assist craftsmen, foremen, and project supervision with regard to construction-related issues identified on drawings
6. Perform surveillance/examinations, if required, to ensure that the Quality objectives are being met for the project
7. Actively participate in knowledge sharing
8. Perform constructability assignments in the office, as required
9. Help coordinate system completion and system turnover with regard to start-up activities for assigned systems, if required
10. Provide technical interpretation of design documents in support of construction managers, superintendents, and contractors and provides specific expertise for problem-solving activities
11. Prepare material take-offs as well as initiate and prepare requisitions for the procurement of services, materials, and equipment necessary to support the project schedule of the construction engineering department and other project departments
12. Will be reporting to Construction Manager, responsible for resolving Contractor technical queries, interpreting construction drawings, technical problem resolution.
Requirements:
1. 5 to 10 years experience as a field engineer
2. willing to work on site 5 days a week
