Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join schools across Bovington. In this role, you will provide essential support to students, enabling them to engage fully with the curriculum, both academically and socially. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in a student's educational experience.
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will work closely with teachers to implement learning strategies, support students’ development, and create an inclusive environment where every student can thrive.
Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant (LSA):
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for students, assisting with academic tasks and personal development.
* Help students to engage with the curriculum, ensuring that they understand and can access learning materials.
* Foster positive behaviour and support students in building their confidence.
* Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Encourage independence while providing the necessary guidance and support.
* Work alongside class teachers to monitor progress and provide ongoing feedback.
* Support students with their social skills and personal development.
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment.
Minimum Requirements:
* Experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar educational support role.
* A degree in Education, Psychology or a similar field.
* CACHE Level 2 or Level 3, NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare, Teaching Assistance, or related qualifications (desirable but not essential).
* A nurturing and patient attitude with a commitment to supporting students’ learning and development.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

* Have the right to work in the UK.
* Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
* Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
