Part Time or Full Time PE Teacher, Fixed Term Contract

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, energetic and inspiring PE teacher to join a highly successful and motivated department from September 2025 to teach core PE and Games across all key stages, including prep school, with an opportunity to teach GCSE and A Level PE.
Sporting excellence is a hallmark of our school, with an impressive range of sports offered both within lessons as well as extracurricular. Our committed team of staff and coaches have enabled our students to excel, with teams and individuals achieving regular success at county level as well as nationally. Alongside this, we promote a ‘sport for all’ ethos and have embedded a concept curriculum within PE lessons to engage and promote a physically active lifestyle amongst all pupils.
This post would suit an ECT as well as someone who has experience. The successful candidate will have the energy and drive to promote extra-curricular opportunities across the school.

The successful applicant will have the energy, enthusiasm and commitment to build on the team’s success and assist in taking the department forward in its delivery of an outstanding learning experience for all students. Ideally, the candidate will have experience in playing and/or coaching netball to a county/regional/national level. Up to date netball coaching knowledge would be advantageous.
Whilst this post is a fixed term contract for 1 year, there could be the opportunity to for the role to become permanent in the future.
The Maynard has its own salary structure closely aligned with the National scale.
