A highly sought-after opportunity to work with one of the world's leading property advisors. They are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join the Northern Development Project Management team to work on exciting new build developments in the industrial and logistics, student and residential sectors which are at a variety of different stages.
The successful individual should be expected to be actively involved in all stages of the project lifecycle, supporting the Project Director. The candidate will receive full support from the rest of the team and will be mentored by the Northern region Development PM lead, to accelerate their learning.
Experience working for a Property Developer is required to be successful in this role.
The Duties
1. Preparation of proposals and assisting with pitching to existing and new clients.
2. Involvement in the upfront project briefing stages, learn to understand a technical brief and aid in the recommendation for the right professional team.
3. Assist with the provision of outline technical recommendations and strategic advice at the outset of the project before a wider professional team are appointed.
4. Support and advise clients in the strategic planning of projects, including providing advice on the overall approach, team, procurement routes, design management, project opportunities, key risks and mitigation.
5. Programme creation and management.
6. Show a driven attitude with desires to pursue long term relationships within the business and sector.
7. Support on the delivery of new build projects at a strategic level to manage the professional team ensuring the client’s brief is delivered and that time, quality and cost parameters are met within this remit.
8. Be a brand ambassador and represent the company, Building & Project Consultancy (BPC) team and represent our value.
The Requirements
1. The ideal candidate should be confident and have the ability to communicate well in writing and verbally.
2. They should possess excellent people skills and have the ability and desire to forge strong relationships with peers and clients.
3. They should be a team player who is willing to support their colleagues, step in to deal with any issues that arise and contribute towards achieving team goals.
4. Has attained a vocational degree qualification and is MRICS qualified or equivalent, or working toward.
5. Other project management, engineering, design or cost management qualifications will also be considered.
6. Track record working as project manager delivering successful projects.
7. Possess vision and is able to develop complex strategies and solutions.
8. Ability to be a part of a pitch team and present project strategy and approach.
9. Ability to support lead PMs from inception to completion whilst working across multiple projects.
