Purpose of the Role:
As a Business Services Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing effective and efficient administrative support to the Special Needs and Disability (SEND) Transport team. Your work will ensure the smooth arrangement, procurement, and maintenance of specialised transport services, all while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the main point of contact for senior staff, acting as a filter to resolve issues efficiently.
Proactively manage correspondence, ensuring all actions are identified, tracked, and addressed promptly.
Arrange transport provisions using established systems and processes.
Monitor and review contract performance, addressing issues and escalating complaints as necessary.
Coordinate meetings, providing administrative support and ensuring follow-up on action points.
Offer clear information and guidance on policy and procedures within the service area.
Build and sustain relationships with internal colleagues, service users, and external contractors.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: Proven experience in a customer-focused environment, with skills in financial monitoring and working across various disciplines.
Skills and Knowledge: Excellent organisational and communication skills, a strong understanding of data management systems, and proficient ICT skills.
Personal Attributes: Initiative, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to high levels of customer care.
Qualifications:
Qualified to Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
