BFT is looking for a Coordinator who is passionate about working with our diverse communities and shares BFT’s values, vision, and purpose. As a Coordinator you will:
1. Lead a committed team to provide effective, quality services to the community, demonstrate a strong commitment to social justice, and work collaboratively to shape the organisation's future direction.
2. Ensure the organisation meets its legislative and financial requirements, manages risks, and responds to the community with knowledge, integrity, and honesty.
3. Be transparent and accountable to the Senior Management and Board of trustees, providing timely and quality advice in accordance with the BFT Constitution.
4. Arrange and partake in community consultations.
5. Demonstrate leadership, direction, and support to staff and volunteers, building a strong team culture, and overseeing a welcoming culture to our diverse community.
6. Demonstrate significant senior management experience in the community services sector and with a Board of trustees.
7. Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in the social sciences, community services, or management.
8. Represent BFT in VCSE, Statutory, and Private Sectors as an advocate and ambassador, establishing partnerships and relationships with commissioners, funders, and investors.
MAIN PURPOSE
The BFT Coordinator is a key post, and the role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of a busy vibrant Community Hub, providing services for a very diverse community. The post holder is part of the management team and will have responsibility for the management of staff and volunteers and reporting to the Chief Executive.
PRIME OBJECTIVES OF THE POST
1. To manage and ensure the efficient operation and general and financial administration of Bradford Foundation Trust.
2. To identify the needs of the local community and meet those needs by developing a variety of projects.
3. To assist, develop and arrange to provide a professional and effective delivery of services designed to meet the changing needs of the local communities.
4. To secure earned income, grants, and commissions and build relationships with key donors.
5. To ensure the organisation operates and remains compliant with health and safety, financial, contractual, and legislative obligations.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
To oversee the day-to-day running of the Community Hub including providing regular support, guidance, supervision, and appraisal to all staff and volunteers.
RANGE OF DUTIES
1. To identify, promote, and publicise the needs of the local communities.
2. To manage and operate the Community Hub and any other external operations of the organisation.
3. To seek funding and resources for the organisation to ensure the continuing implementation of its programmes.
4. To ensure that the building, facilities, and equipment are maintained at a required standard of safety.
5. To prepare and submit regular reports and monitoring returns to funders, donors, and investors.

* Have a recognised UK management qualification at a higher education level (e.g. Degree, DMS) or an equivalent management qualification.
* Able to understand either Urdu, Punjabi, or Hindi languages.
* Be able to assess resources of funds available and enable the development and expansion of all services.
