A leading organisation looking for a highly motivated Data Intelligence Lead to join its expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of a robust and scalable data intelligence platform and its associated systems, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives. This includes defining how data is stored, accessed, utilised, integrated, and managed across various data entities, IT systems, and applications.The organisation fosters an inclusive and dynamic work environment and values diversity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Spearhead the architecture, design, and development of the data intelligence platform, adhering to the data intelligence and analytics strategy.
* Oversee the training, coordination, and evaluation of cross-functional data analysts and business partners.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to select appropriate platforms and services supporting the data intelligence strategy.
* Interpret and coordinate organizational data needs, ensuring alignment with relevant data architectures and strategies.
* Define and manage the technical principles, vision, and standards for the data warehouse/data lake, ensuring scalability to accommodate future data growth and business demands.
* Manage and monitor the performance of external vendor resources and the Database Administrator.
* Stay abreast of internal and external data capabilities and trends, evaluating vendors and products, including in-depth analyses to address critical business needs.
* Establish and manage governance protocols to support the data intelligence strategy.
* Continuously review and monitor the integrity, security, and service continuity of data systems and their dependencies.
* Hands-on management of datasets, lifecycles, access security, and policies.
* Develop documentation and presentations, and facilitate discussions with business and technology stakeholders.
* Collaborate with relevant technical teams to ensure disaster recovery requirements are met, including recovery time and recovery point objectives.
* Perform other related duties as required.

Required Skills and Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data-related role.
* Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with relevant data modeling tools.
* Strong understanding of data management fundamentals and data storage principles.
* Understanding of systems architecture and the ability to design scalable and robust systems.
* Solid understanding of distributed computing environments.
* Familiarity with relevant development tools and technologies.
* Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices.
* Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate 1 with both technical and non-technical audiences. 2
