Within the Production Technician position, you will be responsible for providing hands-on support to the factory maintenance and production team, taking responsibility for the cleaning, inspection, repair, replacement, and lubrication of manufacturing plant machinery and Kiln Cars.
You will have the ability to work hands-on, preferably with experience covering engineering or maintenance activities, and be capable of using hand tools and have experience with fitting, welding, and fabrication.
You will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring Plant equipment including assessing kiln car condition to identify immediate and long-term repair requirements as well as the updating of maintenance records. The role also includes maintaining the refractory and managing spares stock and inventory as well as maintaining a high standard of housekeeping in work areas.
The position is working with a UK market-leading manufacturing organisation based close to the Almondsbury area of Bristol.

Experience required:
* The ability to use hand tools
* Basic fabrication or building skills/experience.
* The position may suit skilled, semi-skilled, or unskilled engineers or maintenance personnel, with a mechanical fitting or electrical aptitude who are accustomed to working within a factory environment
* Fitting, welding, and forklift experience would be beneficial though full training will be provided.
* Experience of working within an engineering, maintenance, or manufacturing capacity
* Methodical and systematic approach with a high attention to detail
* Computer literate
