This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist/Non-Medical Prescriber to join the Great Yarmouth and Waveney Early Intervention in Psychosis Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract/secondment. The successful candidate will be joining a highly motivated multidisciplinary team to support service users aged between 14-65 who are experiencing first episode psychosis.
You would have a RMN or equivalent professional qualification, Non-Medical Independent Prescriber, and a Degree Level Qualification or studies at an equivalent level.
Main duties of the job
You will be providing clinical leadership to the clinical team in the care, treatment, and therapy of the service user, with a clear focus on clinical risk and its management. You will have a passion to influence, lead, and motivate staff at all levels within the clinical environment to deliver high-quality care. This will also include providing expertise, support, and advice to clinical practitioners regarding all aspects of clinical care, including implementing best practice based on evidence-based practice and National Guidance.
Other duties include providing information, education, and support for service users and their carers regarding coping with diagnosis and treatment, the interpretation of national guidelines, and relevant research to inform local practice and procedures to achieve best practice.
The ideal candidate will be a team player, have good interpersonal skills, be flexible in their approach, and be enthusiastic about working with young people and young adults to help them live the lives they want to.
