Fixed term or Secondment Opportunity (12 months)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, highly motivated individual to join the North Midlands and Cheshire Pathology Service (NMCPS) as part of the senior management team.
We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, confident and highly motivated with excellent organisational and communication skills who enjoys working in an energetic, challenging, and at times demanding environment. You will be educated to first degree level or equivalent level of experience in leading a service. You will have the ability to develop and lead specific projects and manage any associated change processes.
Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Deputy Pathology Service Manager and Professional Head for the North Midlands and Cheshire Pathology Service, you will act as a key member of the Directorate Management Team. You will be accountable for optimising the resources of the Directorate in order to deliver safe and effective patient care and you will be expected to assist in the formulation and implementation of the business/service plans to deliver the strategic aims of the Directorate.
Experience of sales and marketing would be desirable as would experience of successful business planning and an understanding of NHS procurement.
Flexible working, including agile working, is supported by the department.
