Job Description
FT Recruitment Group are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Buyer based in Aberdeenshire (South) on a Fixed Term Contract basis for Maternity Cover, working Full Time hours and starting ASAP.
Working in a fast-paced environment, this role would be ideally suited to experienced Procurement professionals with a proactive approach, strong communication and organisational skills, and a keen attention to detail.
Main duties include:
* Procurement of materials and equipment, in line with budget and schedule requirements
* Support with supplier management processes and reviews, including tenders and set up of new contracts
* Liaise with vendors regarding invoice queries
* Maintain accurate purchase order trackers
* Regularly review expenditure against budgets and explore options for cost-saving
* Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the most beneficial commercial outcomes
* Maintain accurate records and databases for internal reporting
Suitable candidates should have the following:
* Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Purchasing roles, with good understanding of wider supply chain processes, preferably in the Construction sector
* Strong negotiation and communication skills
* Self-motivated, and able to adapt to changing situations
Candidates should be based locally to the Aberdeen area, and must hold the Right to Work in the UK.
