Chelmsford Sport and Athletics Centre (CSAC) is a major sporting venue with first-class indoor and outdoor athletics facilities. It provides significant opportunities for elite athletes as well as the local community. As part of Chelmsford City Council’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality health and fitness facilities, our gym is undergoing refurbishment this autumn. This will involve an expansion of the main gym to include a designated free weight zone, functional training area, and exciting new equipment. There will also be a new exercise studio.

Job Description
We are looking for an individual with an engaging personality and a natural ability to build strong relationships to join our gym team. The successful applicant will work alongside our team of gym instructors delivering the high level of customer service our users expect whilst conducting inductions and assessments and supporting our members to achieve their fitness goals.
Responsibilities
1. Deliver personal fitness programmes and fitness assessments.
2. Support member retention.
3. Deliver group exercise classes as per your qualifications.
4. Assist with the day-to-day operations of the gym floor.
Qualifications
The applicant must have excellent interpersonal and customer care skills and a high level of enthusiasm. The successful candidate must be qualified to a Level 3 diploma in Personal Training and hold Group Exercise Class qualifications.
Working Hours
The position is offered on a casual basis to cover the opening hours of Chelmsford Sports and Athletics Centre, from 7am to 10.00pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
