Job Description
Summary
I am looking for a PA to support my 16 year old son. He is a very happy young man who is into fashion and design, is very creative and has a big personality. He has a diagnosis of Asperger’s syndrome, ADHD & sensory processing disorder. He also has a diagnosis of Scheuermann’s disease which affects his spine. Though he can express his wants and needs verbally, he does require gentle support & guidance with all forms of communication, particularly socially.
Your role as a PA will involve assisting him with daily activities, plus supporting him to develop his life skills, independence and confidence with activities such as going to the shops, money management, cooking, maintaining a safe and habitable home, and accessing the community.

Additional duties:
Support my son to talk about & understand his emotions (informing me of any concerns)
Supporting with physiotherapy exercises / O.T. recommendations as needed
Supervising at all times and keeping him focused on tasks
Support to develop social and independent living skills, whilst gaining confidence in himself and through new experiences.
Driving him or accompanying him on public transport / walking with as needed, when accessing the community.
Support with planning ahead for activities, including timing, transport, budgeting & paying for.
Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
