We are currently recruiting for a European Freight Operator who will be responsible for managing the company's client accounts on a day-to-day basis. This role requires close communication with clients and coordinating the suppliers, documentation, and schedules for their shipments between the UK & EU. You will be speaking with clients daily, developing relationships, negotiating prices, and much more. You will have a portfolio of customers which may include key accounts and will need to work closely with your manager and the sales team.
On occasions, you will get to visit clients to broaden your understanding of their business and how they work. If you are a people person, like to be challenged, and want more activity in your job, this may be the role for you.

Experience:
* Experience working in the logistics industry (transport, customs, trailers, etc.)
* Proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills & happy to talk on the phone
* Knowledge of Europe and/or additional language an advantage, but not necessary
Responsibilities:
* Building relationships with key accounts
* Onboarding and working with spot clients
* Locating, onboarding, and building relationships with new suppliers
* Liaising with Jordon customs team
* Liaising with EU consignees & EU customs
* Pricing and negotiation of freight rates
* Ensuring collection & delivery KPIs are attained
* Ensuring documentation is ready for shipments on time
* Generating reports relating to all export and customs activity
* Meeting customer expectations to ensure excellent customer service
* Identifying opportunities to upsell additional services to existing clients
* Assisting in the delivery of other business objectives as required
* Visiting clients on site
* Having regular client reviews on Teams
* Assisting the sales department in securing new business
