In addition, the role may also involve periods of lone working and personal care. As a Support Worker, you may be responsible for providing care and support to individuals in their own homes, where you may be the sole healthcare professional present, and shared settings as part of a team. Main Responsibilities As a Support Worker, your role will be both challenging and fulfilling. Safely aiding service users in their mobility, implementing appropriate techniques and equipment. Collaborating with fellow team members to perform moving and handling tasks safely and effectively. Assisting with meal service and providing support with feeding when required. Supporting individuals and groups in engaging with social and physical activities, promoting their well-being. Monitoring the health status of individuals under your care, promptly reporting any changes or concerns. Demonstrating clear and professional communication with clients, establishing a respectful and caring environment. Providing various levels of assistance with toileting needs, respecting individual preferences and maintaining privacy. Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and organization in all areas to ensure a comfortable and hazard-free environment. Assisting individuals on day trips and shopping trips.
